Charlottes Blessing
Head of School and Academic Leader at AIM. Teaching Danish and English. She brings extensive experience as a global educator and school leader. She has worked with students from ages 3 to 20 years old in Europe, Africa, India, and North and South America. Her work includes student-centered education, teacher training and mentoring, curriculum development, operations, accreditation, outdoor education, and cross-cultural competence. She has lived internationally for many years and considers herself a global nomad.
Julie Emilie Simpson
A daily leader, providing structure and wellbeing to children and educators. A communicator by heart, sharing insight and important information with parents and platforms. She masters yoga, meditation, and social development and has a solid educational background in communication and psychology, which supports healthy routines, positive habits, teamwork, and emotional growth at AIM & Mini AIM.
Kelly Knudsen
Kelly is a bilingual English and Spanish teacher with many years of experience supporting multi-level learners in both public and private schools. She has taught for the Ministry of Education in Madrid and several private schools, as well as the youth program of Atlético de Madrid. Before moving to Málaga, Kelly taught Spanish at Wichita State University in Kansas. Originally from the United States, she has now lived in Spain for 17 years and brings a rich international perspective to her teaching.
Melissa Jade Mathisen
Is teaching English and Spanish and Project Learning. She combines her native fluency in Spanish and English with a warm, supportive style of teaching to AIM. Melissa brings many years of international experience and a strong background in language education with her.
Didi Souham
Is a natural talented motivator and teach the kids in sports and AI Learning. He is specialized in teaching children and young adults with special needs.
Mathies Schmidt Brudvig Astrup
Dedicated Math teacher — also teaching Body & Mind and Project Learning.
With a background in both education, innovation and the tech world, he brings a modern approach to learning that fits perfectly with AIM’s vision and help us continue to implement technology in creative and meaningful ways across our teaching.
Paloma Sanchez
Early Childhood-Primary Education teacher specialising in Spanish Language and Physical Education. With experience in inclusive education, neurodiversity, promoting social coexistence and training in the integral development of the student (physical, cognitive, social and affective). She implements active methodologies such as cooperative learning, gamification, original storytelling, educational adventures and flipped classroom to foster motivation and character building.
Johanna Raices
Johanna is the AIM chef preparing nutritious food for the kids. Originally from Luleå, Sweden, Johanna trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Lima and gained experience at top restaurants, including Michelin-starred Blossom Málaga. She brings a unique blend of vibrant Peruvian and wholesome Scandinavian flavors to our kitchen.
Johanna cooks from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients - no additives - ensuring healthy meals children truly enjoy. Many may know her from her popular cooking at Finca La Alegria.
